Our transparent kayaks are made from durable polycarbonate, allowing you to explore the underwater world of the canal while paddling. And we have something truly special to be proud of — Mērsraga Canal plays an important role in fish migration between the Gulf of Riga and Lake Engure.

During the spring pre-spawning season, many fish species — including perch, roach, bream, and pike — migrate from the Gulf of Riga to Lake Engure for spawning. The canal and its surroundings are also home to beavers and otters, and according to local stories, even Nessie has been spotted here a few years ago... 😉
